On behalf of the Small Point Club Board and Manager Bob Kennedy, I am thrilled to announce that the Club will be open for overnight guests and dining this summer, starting Friday, June 25th. We will follow the State of Maine’s guidelines. As of May 24th, indoor gathering capacity increases to 75% and outdoor to 100%. Should there be an increase in Covid numbers, the Club’s Board and Manager reserve the right to make changes in how we approach this summer. We certainly hope that will not be the case!

The Board has established a series of protocols for the Summer of 2021 to make sure your visit to the Club is a safe one. We expect all our members to respect their fellow members by practicing social distancing and wearing a mask whenever on Club property. All overnight guests and staff should be vaccinated and must wear masks unless in their rooms or at their table when dining. For overnight guests, there will be no shared bathrooms and limited housekeeping. No one will enter your room or your assigned bathroom except for you. Fresh towels will be available as requested.

As the Club will have limited dining capacity and room availability, we hope you will be understanding if we are not able to accommodate you. We want to do everything we can to make our guests and staff safe, which might mean limiting what we would normally offer.

For cocktails and dining, reservations are a must. If you are coming for cocktails only or are waiting for a table inside, you must stay outside on the porch or at the Low Tide Grill. The Cage and The Connector will be dining areas this summer in order to have adequate spacing between tables.

You will be hearing more from us as we approach this summer. We know many of you were unhappy that the Club did not open last year. We want to do everything we can this summer to make up for what we couldn’t do in 2020. We have a great list of events and activities which will be unveiled in our next Tidings. Many of them are a direct result of the suggestions you offered in the survey sent in March. A summary of those appears below.

Bob Kennedy is ready to take your reservations for overnight stays, private celebrations, and dining. Our salmon dinner will be on Saturday and Sunday July 3rd & 4th. Bob can be reached at (717) 917-4208.

We are looking forward to seeing you often and to opening the Club for its 124th season. Here’s to the Summer of 2021!
