The Club’s first use of an online membership survey was a great success! The 239 responses from our 350 members gave us a wealth of information about our members and their feelings about services, past, present, and future. Thanks to all of you who took the time to respond.
Some highlights:
- Although half our members are 66 or older and have been members 16 years or more, 1 in 5 are under 50, and 2 in 5 have been members 10 years or less.
- Many stay in SP a month or more, but 45% are here only two weeks or less.
- 80% of respondents are members of other Small Point organizations, like SPA, SPOC, SPSS, or SPYC.
- 60% of members require a car to access the Club.
- Ratings of services were overwhelmingly positive! Almost all were above average to excellent!
- The rating of the Board’s response to the pandemic in 2020 was 4.1 out of 5, and 93% of members judged our planning for 2021 to be “very reasonable.”
- With a rating of 4.6 of 5, Club manager Bob Kennedy tied for first place with “Cocktails on the Porch.”
- Bocce, moonrise drinks, golf scrambles, cornhole, and boxed lunches are in your future.
- Tom Hampton, devoted regular Club resident, wins the $100 dinner gift certificate.
