After thoughtful discussion about the current Covid situation, the Board is pleased to confirm that the 125th Anniversary celebration is ON for Saturday August 6th with some minor changes to plan to accommodate the circumstances. While evidence suggests the recent outbreak is under control, we’re still in a higher risk environment than we’d all like and the Board feels that some basic Covid-friendly adaptations to the evening will allow us all to enjoy a special night more safely and care-free:

  • The Club Board kindly asks each guest (whether you will be attending for dinner or just dancing) test themselves within 24 hours of the party. If you get a positive result, please contact Bob Kennedy to cancel your ticket(s), for which you will be fully refunded. Even if you don’t test positive but are experiencing cold-like symptoms, we respectfully ask that you not attend. Each of us is responsible for protecting the health and wellbeing of our beloved community and we trust that everyone will follow this honor system so we can all enjoy a magical evening.
  • Following the lead of last year’s party, a fabulous boxed dinner will be served which guests are invited to enjoy in the outdoor areas of the Club. As we know from last year, the term “boxed dinner” doesn’t do Chef’s culinary creation justice! Picnics were particularly in vogue at the end of the 19th century — so we still invite you to come as you would in 1897!
  • Dancing is ON as planned, with live music from our very own Liz Vaughan and her talented band Do I Do! While dinner is currently sold out, EVERYONE is welcome for dancing at 9pm. Dancing will be outdoors with a suggested $10 donation to support the band at the door. Hope to see you there!
