As guests approached little white lights were everywhere as music quietly played. Guests enjoyed seeing each other as cocktails and hors-d’oeuvres were served. Diners were assigned tables that were named for Small Point places…Big Beach, Cliff Walk and Sprague Road. Fillet, scallops, fresh vegetable, Tricolor Salad as well as corn salad were passed family style. The food was spectacular thanks to our amazing chefs and the service was choreographed to take advantage of a wonderful meal.
When the last fork rested, we headed to low tide grill to hear a brief but moving tribute to our former General Manager. Our Board Presidents thanked Bob Kennedy and our entire membership for their support of our Club. The evening sponsors helped make us meet our financial goal and the brief live auction was both fun and successful.
What happened next was spectacular… paddles were raised and pledges of a little over $ 11,000 were made for the purpose of improving the Low Tide Grill. Desserts were served and the dancing began with many community members joining the group to dance on Club Road.
Our sponsors, bidders, chefs, staff all created an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie that will last in our memories. In short – it was fun!
