Brad Terry & Neil Olmstead
Brad Terry, a resident of Bath, is a renowned improvising clarinetist and whistler. He has played with Dizzy Gillespie, Doc Cheatham, Buck Clayton, Red Mitchell, and Lenny Breau, among others.
Club member Neil Olmstead has shared the stage with Teddy Wilson, Dave McKenna, and Adam Makowicz, as well as performed with Lenny Giuffre’s Quartet and the Moody Blues. Neil is on the piano faculty of Berklee College of Music, Boston.
This subtle and energized jazz duo will play music of Gershwin, Brubeck, Jobim, and Herbie Hancock in a night of soft jazz. Terry twists his clarinet lines in and among Olmsted’s harmonies in a unique blend of elegant swing and Latin jazz improvisations. Drummore Bay’s intimate setting is a perfect venue for discovering this duo’s slant on familiar jazz standards.
