The Small Point Club annual meeting was held last Sunday. I realize that most of you could not attend and wanted to give you a small taste of what was said. Manager Bob Kennedy and Chef Rob have given us a summer to remember. A full time staff of four and two part time employees did the work of a staff that should have been double that number. 300 plus guests have stayed at the Club. The staff has served over 1500 meals and 3,500 cocktails in the last two months. It has been one heck of a summer!
So many people deserve credit for making this season the success
that it was (most of whom are highlighted in separate part of this Tidings). I thank this devoted and indefatigable Board for the work, and I mean work, they did all year long. They are the very best. Bob Kennedy, Chef Rob, Chris, Alec, Cora, Billie Joe, Sandy, and Kat, you all are the very heart of the Club – you go above and beyond and make every guest feel like the Club is home. On behalf of the entire membership, we thank you!
We still have a week to go and hope that you can join us as we close out the season. It has been a year of connections and celebrations. Some small, some big. Some tender, some wild. Some stretched us literally and figuratively…but all captured us in some way. Savor all these memories until we meet again next year for the Club’s 125th season!
