Donations for “Closets, Collections, and Creative Experiences”
We will be reaching out for donations, via an auction website (coming soon!), for our “Closets, Collections, and Creative Experiences” fundraiser, culminating in our dinner/dance on Saturday, August 12. Please check your closets and other storage places for items you may wish to donate. Experiences are also welcome donations – boat cruises, lessons (fly-fishing, painting, a particular skill?), a get-away opportunity – you name it!
Board Members stepping down…. and stepping up!
The SP Club Board is in need of some talented members ~
We will be losing the talents of Board member Liz Mitchell after this summer season. Her term expires in October and, though we will reach out to her for advice, we will need a new Board member that can take up her interior design vision for the Club – and add their own expertise as well.

2023 Season Art Shows and Speaker Series…
A full season of artists’ exhibitions and speakers are scheduled. Check the events calendar for particular art show openings on Sundays at 4:00pm and speakers on Thursdays (July 20th through August 24) at 5:00pm.
Don’t miss Club member Doug Foltz’s art show opening on Sunday, July 2 and exhibition through July 9!

Dinner and dancing with an online auction beforehand.
For the auction, themed “Closets, Collections, and Creative Experiences”, please check your closets and other storage places for items you may wish to donate. Experiences are also welcome donations – boat cruises, lessons (fly-fishing, painting, a particular skill?), a get-away opportunity – you name it! Keep an eye out in your email come summer for access and directions for uploading donations onto our auction website.
SPC Board update
We are sad to bid Paula McLaughlin and Phoebe Ijams farewell as Board members. They have been a great asset, contributing marketing skills (Paula) and technology skills (Phoebe) that are important needs for the Club. They have regretfully needed to resign due to other personal obligations.
We are happy however to welcome Molly Eberle as our new Board Secretary, replacing our wonderful previous secretary, Kath Vaughan, whose term expired this past fall. Also joining the team is Erin Pierce Vaughan, who will fill Phoebe’s shoes with […]
New Point-of-Service Payment Policy
The Board has come to the unfortunate but necessary conclusion that billing for cocktails, dinners, merchandise and art purchases, etc. is cumbersome and messy.
While we recognize the charm of the past practice of “put it on my bill”, this leads to confusion on the part of members and lost revenue for the Club.

A bit of account housekeeping
As the SPC Board has shared previously, the operation of the Club relies on prompt payment of our members’ annual dues. The Club has year-round expenses and maintenance that are required to ensure our members have an enjoyable experience during the brief summer season.
We wish to thank those members who have already paid their dues, as well as our Sustaining members’ contributions and those who contribute to the Small Point Preservation Fund. We must give a nudge, though, to a sizeable number who still need […]
