Kevin will tell us about his unusual art projects, especially the one he is currently working on here in Phippsburg. Art Shows 2020

This summer, the Club’s weekly art shows will come to you through Tidings.  Plans are in the works to have Small Point artists show their work virtually, showcasing the talented members of our community.  You will have the opportunity to see their work and to purchase it.  Sarah Pope and Rebecca Milliken are lining up artists who wish to be a part of this summer’s Art Shows.  Please contact them if you are interested.

Touchless Take-Out Food Service

Chef Rob is back and we will be doing Take Out starting Saturday, June 20th. Please review details on when to order and how to pick up. We are following Covid 19 compliance as required by the state. Parking at the club will be for Take Out only and will have designated spots for you to pickup your orders. Your cooperation is appreciated. Coronavirus to Impact SP Club’s 2020 Season – April 30, 2020

After careful consideration, the SP Club Board has made the decision to forego two important Club offerings this 2020 season: room rentals and live events.  

This means that the Club will not be open as a gathering spot, for meals and beverages.  

The Club will, however, offer some limited, safe services (see below) consistent with the letter and spirit of the governor’s plans for safely restarting the Maine economy, available here.

By request, Maine artist Susan Van Campen will return to share her expertise and teach techniques of watercolor painting.

Residing in Thomaston, Maine for the last 30 years, Susan is a talented painter, having mastered both watercolor and oils in still life and landscape compositions. A graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Susan has been recognized through various awards and scholarships, including the Cresson Memorial Traveling Scholarship.

Brad Terry & Neil Olmstead

Brad Terry, a resident of Bath, is a renowned improvising clarinetist and whistler. He has played with Dizzy Gillespie, Doc Cheatham, Buck Clayton, Red Mitchell, and Lenny Breau, among others.

Club member Neil Olmstead has shared the stage with Teddy Wilson, Dave McKenna, and Adam Makowicz, as well as performed with Lenny Giuffre’s Quartet and the Moody Blues. Neil is on the piano faculty of Berklee College of Music, Boston.
