Unfortunately, there has been a mid-sized outbreak of the highly contagious Covid BA.5 variant in the Small Point Community. The Club Board, for this reason, is curtailing services in order to address this situation. We have made the decision to take the following actions for the next five days (July 20 – 25):
- ROOM RESERVATIONS for members and guests through July 27 are welcome, but they will be asked to take a Rapid Antigen test before they arrive.
- ALL SCHEDULED EVENTS have been canceled for the next five days.
- LOW TIDE GRILL will remain open for all members/guests, but you must call Bob K. no later than 11:00AM of the day you plan to have lunch.
- DINING will be take-out only and must be ordered a day in advance. This includes members/guests staying at the Club during this time. You are welcome to eat your meal anywhere outside on the Club grounds, on the Porch, or in the Cage (which will have limited seating).
TEST POSITIVE? PLEASE TELL US
In order to make an informed assessment, the Board asks members if they contract Covid, to contact SPC Board member Jon Tierce jontierce@yahoo.com | 571.296.9524 with information on when they tested positive.
Confidentiality will be strictly observed and names will not be disclosed.
We will reassess our situation on July 27. If we are still experiencing an unacceptable number of cases, we will continue with the curtailing of services for another five days.
If these curtailed services are effective, the plan is for the Club to continue with its August events.
